Friends are friends no matter where they are

5

Goodbye is never fun. I said farewell this evening to one of my Philadelphia besties. Just 10 days ago Frances let us know she’s officially going, it’s happened so quickly… following desires and dreams moving south to Atlanta on Thursday. (btw that’s a direct flight to Belize, which is interesting…) It’s strange we live 2 miles from one another right now and soon we’ll be nearly 1000 miles apart. Frances was my first friend on the east coast when I moved back to the states from Belize. It’ll be weird not to be able to get together for a cup of coffee, yoga, happy hour or a night out in the city although it hasn’t totally sunk in yet. Honestly it SUCKS but it’s bittersweet. I’d be selfish to be purely sad so I won’t get sappy about it. The past couple days I’ve been a little heavy in my heart and stomach though, over something that’s important to me. Top that off with a goodbye dinner party tonight isn’t exactly joyful, but it’s always good to be in the company of friends.  Anyhow, I know that even though I won’t be able to see her she’ll still be “here” and that friends are friends no matter where they are. I also know that what I’m feeling the past days shall pass soon, as all things do. Life is good and I am grateful.

Frances, wishing you all the happiness possible. You deserve it girl… so many awesome things have entered your life and seeing how happy it makes you makes me so happy for you. I wish you the very best in your move and new life.  Thank you for your friendship and kindness. You’ll be missed more than you know. But seriously, Frances, this so sucks to say GOODBYE!!!!  Goodbye, for now chica…

Love, peace, health, happiness, and safe travels, Keli

I am grateful for you and I love you. That’s all I will say for now, as I’ve heard that a sign of true friendship is “being content in silence when the time for words has passed.” xo

we’ve both been there through our most happy and difficult times in our lives. Thank you for all your kindness and support through all of it. Safe journey my friend.
